This week I have been working on recording my first youtube video. I ordered a Hue Webcam which I expect I will upgrade eventually. I spent the first day getting the overhead camera views just right and filming using my gelli plate.
Later watching the video, I realized that too much light was causing the camera to flicker. I did a few small adjustments. The second part of the video was better. I recorded how I used my gelli print to make a 50 abstract piece.

During editing, I added the narration and changed the video speed. I noticed that I prefer to create in a very structured manner.
When people find out that I am a math/science teacher, they are very surprised that I am artistic or creative. I tend to think through my process before starting. I like to pull colors and scrapbook paper/ephemera at the start then create.

Thanks for watching. Posting part 2 soon :)
